Dying Light may be over five years old at this point, but that hasn’t stopped developer Techland from continuing to support the game with new content, and we’re getting more in just a few weeks.
The Hellraid DLC sees a strange arcade machine found in the basement of the Tower, which turns out to actually be a gateway to another realm. Stepping through the portal will take you to… Techland’s on-hold fantasy slasher Hellraid? Yes, in a brilliant twist, Techland has resurrected the game that they put on hold in 2015 within the Dying Light engine, and to the untrained eye, it looks like Hellraid!
You’ll have to fight your way through an “otherworldly stronghold overrun by servants of hell”, using weapons such as axes, hammers and swords to take out the demons that await you within. Improving your rank within Hellraid will reward you with new weapons that you can take back into the zombie-infested streets of Harran. There is also the option to take on the dungeon online in four-player co-op. You can check it all out in the latest trailer down below.
The Hellraid DLC will release on Xbox One on 23rd July 2020. Dying Light is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
